How Much CE Must I Have?
To get to the Download Page With The CE & Transition Materials
Renewal for those that did not get a new transitioned licensed but, did pay the
transition fee to the State
Instructions: Send in the transition/renewal form and $150 with a letter
explaining that it is
for the renewal of the pending 475 and state that they have previously
submitted the transition application with $125.
Transition was paid - transition licensing application still pending (Sent in
the $125 fee only not $275)
Did NOT
get a new license issued to them by the State (one with a 475 prefix)

To get an Illinois real estate Broker
license:
You must:
be 21 years old (there is an exception for those that have 2 years
of college (4 semesters of college credit)
and be at least 18 years old
have a high school degree
have a social security number
successfully complete the Broker Pre-License Topics (75 hour course)
and the Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate
Principles-Interactive (15 hour course)
from a IDFPR approved school
pass the Illinois Real Estate Broker Exam
cannot be delinquent in payments to the Illinois Department of
Revenue; delinquent on an
Illinois Student Loan; more than 30 days delinquent in
child support
To get an Illinois real estate
Broker Manager license:
You must:
be 21 years old
have a high school degree
have a social security number
successfully complete the Managing Broker Pre-License Topics course
(30 hours)
and the Managing Broker Pre-License Applied Management and
Supervision course (15 hours)
and have a minimum of two years (out of the last three years)
experience as a Broker (or Salesperson)
pass the Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker Exam
and cannot be delinquent in payments to the Illinois Department of
Revenue; delinquent on an
Illinois Student Loan; more than 30 days delinquent in
child support

The Illinois Real Estate Broker License class can be taken by home study
The Broker Pre-License Topics (75 hour course) may be taken home study (75 hours) may be taken home study. The Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles (15 hour course) MUST be taken in the classroom.
Home study can be started at any time. The class must be completed within 6 months of your enrollment date. The fee includes a syllabus, a booklet of lecture notes (the same booklet used in the classroom). You must purchase the text Illinois Real Estate Principles and Practices by Tim Rice, 4th Edition (required text). ..
After studying the material, you call the school to set up a
final exam. You must pass a final exam with a minimum passing score of 75%. You
will
have 3 opportunities to pass the exam. You will be give access to a web site
with additional study aids. Failing 3 finals requires you to then sit for the
course.
